Hi All,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my blog. After working for 15 years in the field of analytics, primarily advanced analytics, I have realised that there is a need for people to get a better understanding of analytics and what it can really do to any business.
Be it telecom, retail, government or banking there is an element of advanced analytics used almost everywhere in any business day.
There are various applications of statistical analysis which are not known to many businesses and even when they are, it is thought to be not easy to use. There are difficult ways of doing easy things and then there are easy ways of doing difficult things.
Particularly, in Australia, I think there is a huge need for business people to get a better understanding of how analytics can change the way they do business and the way analytics can get them huge profits. Especially the small businesses do not have access to either the technology or the intellectual property behind advanced / statistical analytics and thus have not been able to exploit the value that can be achieved through high-end analytics.
With the advent of technology, it has become very easy to crunch millions of rows in minutes and apply statistical methods on to the data and use the data for some very unique activities. It is not that hard as people think and most of the tools are available on your desktop. Through this blog I will try to unravel the simple techniques in interpreting huge volumes of data.
This blog is an attempt to easily explain the following:
1. Applications of Statistical Analysis
2. Key data driven learning’s from the data available to us easily.
3. Easy to use advanced analytics techniques.
4. Interpreting and visualizing interesting data in our everyday life.
Also, if anyone wants me to discuss any dataset that needs explanation, please feel free to send it to me and I can help you to find value in the data.
Do let me know if you feel that this blog helps.
